![]() With over 40 years experience driving chuckwagons, Doyle spent his last year on the WPCA Dodge Pro Tour in 2005. 2005 saw Doyle receive the UFA Community Ambassador Award at the Rocky Mountain Turf Club Derby, and drive at his last show at the 2005 Ponoka Stampede. Doyle was honored by the World Professional Chuckwagon Association with the 2005 George Normand Lifetime Builders Award. Known as one of the greatest ambassadors chuckwagon racing has ever had, “Doc” has raced wagons all over the North American continent from Fort Nelson, B.C to Mexico, from Vancouver Island to the Maritimes and was part of Cliff Claggett’s legendary traveling chuckwagon show. His lifetime dedication to chuckwagon racing has earned him four WPCA Active Supporter awards and was the 1993 WPCA Chuckwagon Person Of The Year. He won the 2002 WPCA Clean Drive Award and received the WPCA’s Most Improved Chuckwagon Outfit Award in 1985. In 2004, Doyle posted a first place run at the North American Chuckwagon Championship and a fifth place run at the Grande Prairie Stompede prior to a training accident that kept him out of action the last half of the year. He was the 1971 World Pony Chuckwagon Champion, and has also competed in bull riding and bareback bronc riding. Chuckwagon Photo Gallery
