What are digital X-rays?

X-rays are a non-invasive diagnostic tool that allow us to create images of the inside of your pet’s body. They give us a view of internal organs we otherwise couldn’t see. It’s an important diagnostic tool that helps us detect and prevent illness. Digital X-rays use less radiation than previous versions of the technology, which is much safer for your pet and our team. We’re also able to generate higher quality images in a shorter amount of time, improving our ability to diagnose your pet’s health conditions.

What can you see with them?

X-rays detect soft tissues in your pet’s body, which we’re able to generate images of on a monitor. This helps us diagnose:

  • Broken bones
  • Sprains and fractures
  • Foreign objects
  • Tumors
  • Pregnancy
  • Enlarged organs, like the heart
