Our veterinary clinic is equipped with digital X-ray technology, which allows us to examine your pet’s internal organs. The technology has evolved over the years, with digital imaging being the latest innovation. Our highly skilled team has special training to provide X-rays in a safe and efficient manner, supporting your pet’s diagnosis.
What are digital X-rays?
X-rays are a non-invasive diagnostic tool that allow us to create images of the inside of your pet’s body. They give us a view of internal organs we otherwise couldn’t see. It’s an important diagnostic tool that helps us detect and prevent illness. Digital X-rays use less radiation than previous versions of the technology, which is much safer for your pet and our team. We’re also able to generate higher quality images in a shorter amount of time, improving our ability to diagnose your pet’s health conditions.
What can you see with them?
X-rays detect soft tissues in your pet’s body, which we’re able to generate images of on a monitor. This helps us diagnose:
- Broken bones
- Sprains and fractures
- Foreign objects
- Enlarged organs, like the heart
